Negril Vacation

Today’s my first full day on vacation, having arrived at The Negril Treehouse yesterday. I checked in, ate lunch that was prepared by the self-proclaimed, “Movie star chef” and then I headed to my room and fell into an NCIS marathon never to leave the room again until breakfast this morning.
As I told the driver, Germaine, who drove me from the Montego Bay airport to the hotel, this is not first trip to Negril (I was just here in December for my birthday and been coming annually, sometimes twice, since 2001), so I don’t feel compelled to lay out on the beach - just knowing that I’m steps away from the beach and water is good enough. I also don’t need to attend nightly beach parties… been there, done that. No thanks.
My purpose for being here these 5 days is catch up on rest and reading. The two things I don’t get to do much of when at home!
So, what’s the plan for today? Hang in the lobby for the free wifi and read and post until my battery goes dead. At that point, I’ll venture to the room and will either put on a swimsuit and hit the beach or, I’ll surf what limited channels I have access to and chill out. Then repeat until dinnertime!
