Restaurant Review: Tavern 17

For full disclosure, I had a $25 per day food credit since I was a guest in the hotel where Tavern 17 is located.
Given the convenience it was no-brainer to eat breakfast at Tavern 17. Unless you have plans that require you to get up and out early, eating at the hotel restaurant is the easiest and best last minute choice for breakfast. Regardless of where I am, I'm always beating the clock before the end of breakfast service. I had already peeped out the menu and had decided that I would have the hot buffet. And not for nothing, but the $20.95 buffet pricing always makes me chuckle. Again, thank goodness for the $25 credit.
I was greeted promptly and given my menu options. I ordered coffee and made a quick substitution for turkey sausage since I don't eat pork. I then stuffed myself with scrambled eggs, the fluffiest waffles I've ever had (at a buffet), roasted potatoes and these plump and juicy pesto topped Roma tomatoes. Can I just say that those tomatoes were all that?!?! They popped when I put them into my mouth and I'm embarrassed to say that juice rolled down my chin not once, but twice! I'm looking forward to tomorrow morning, thank you very much!!
