Jamaica

I've been going to Negril, Jamaica every year, sometimes twice, since November 2001. Initially, I was intrigued with the ideal of going to Jamaica by a Jamaican boyfriend; while we were vacationing in Hawaii he took in all there was to see and proudly proclaimed that his country was more beautiful then the Big Island. Of course, instantly my curiosity about Jamaica was piqued, along with my desire to learn more about the origins of the late, great Bob Marley, who I am a huge fan of...and not just the Legend album!

So, the story would have it that I befriended a group of sisters who visited Jamaica annually and I boldly told them I would go with them the following year. I was promptly, and boldly, advised that an invitation had not been extended to me, but I told them I would be going and, the rest, as they say, is history! #word

15 years later, I have traveled with that group of friends, with family, have taken other friends and have also traveled solo to the beautiful country of Jamaica, specifically, Negril.

Over the years, I have come to love this country as my own, as well as the people. I love the topography, the hospitality, the cuisine and the rainbow hue of its citizens. They treat me as family and I see them as the same.

One Love.
